Welcome to the Walsh Academy of Irish Dancing!

The Walsh Academy of Irish Dancing was founded by Marian Togwell in 1996 after completing her T.C.R.G. Irish Dancer teacher training. But this isn’t where this story started!

At the young age of 11, Marian won her first World Championship title. This was the start of 3 World titles, two consecutive solo and one choreography, along with an American National Championship title! For Marian, Irish dancing brought sheer joy, passion, and drive. Marian had the burning ambition to push herself competition after competition and enjoyed working her hardest to achieve her titles. These are the values in which the Walsh Academy of Irish Dancing are built on. For anyone who has a burning passion, or even just a slight interest in Irish Dancing, this is the Irish Dancing school for you!

The heart of the Walsh Academy is for every student at any age to throughly enjoy and grow their skills for the discipline of Irish Dancing. Every class is taught with the goal in mind for students to walk out with a sense of achievement, whether that be big or small, every student is recognised for their own capabilities and praised for their improvements. Marian strives to encourage every student to reach the very best of their potential. All abilities are encouraged with a class for everyone!

With over 27 years of teaching experience, Marian can ensure a fun and friendly environment for you to enjoy your Irish Dancing and reach personal goals. Why not give it a go with the first class free!
